I’m delighted to share with you that Elephant is transferring to the Menier Chocolate Factory in May. I am so proud of this show. Written and performed by my very dear friend Anoushka Lucas, and developed and directed by me, the show both a gig and a very personal story, a two hander between Anoushka and a piano. Here’s a selection of the press we received last time around, if you need convincing.
It was born at the brilliant Bush Theatre, who originally commissioned the show, and where it transferred into their bigger space from the Studio. I’m forever grateful to all at the Bush for making this show exist, and the incredible team of creatives who are part of it. Shout outs to:
Georgia Wilmot, designer
Laura Howard, light
Xana, sound
Gillian Tan, projection
And the whole in house team at the Bush, particularly Lynette Linton and Daniel Bailey, who nurtured this show through to it’s full self. I can’t wait for the show to be seen by a whole new audience. It’s being transferred by the fantastic Kindred Partners, under the stewardship of the Menier. Drop me a like or a comment here if you’re planning on coming - it’s going to be amazing.
Thanks for reading. Back with a longer letter next week. You’re brilliant.
